The Denver system. whioh is <br />now approximately one-fifth oomplete. inoludes diversion. stor- <br />age. filtration. distribution and other faoilities for a total <br />average annual use of water from the Colorado River estimated <br />by the City at 347.000 aore-feet. Allowanoes therefor were made <br />in connection with previously mentioned projeots. <br /> <br />III - EXPORTATIONS. PLANllING <br /> <br />16. Exportations of Colorado River water for use in other stream basins <br />in Colorado. in addition to projeots previously mentioned. may ultimately be <br />developed. partioularly along those seotions of the Continental Divide ad- <br />joining the Rio Grande basin. in south-oentral Co lor ado . and the North Platte <br />River basin. in north-oentral Colorado. <br /> <br />Included in this category of future project possibilities are the pro- <br />jeots surveyed by the U. S. Reclamation Bureau. in oonneotion with the Upper <br />Rio Grande Joint Investigations. namely. <br /> <br /> (1) Animas-Rio Grande. potential yield 130.000 AF.. and <br /> (2) San Juan-South Fork. potential yield 53.000 AF.; <br /> and for use in the North Platte River basin. prinoipally for <br />" the ir ri gation of pasture lands in J aokson County. <br /> (3) Elk River-Jackson County. potential yield 75.000 AP.. <br />.' <br /> <br />whioh supplies. if available for diversion from the Elk River. <br />are also needed for the proposed Great Northern Project. to <br />irrigate lands in Elkhead and Fortification Creeks; and also <br />may be required for the full development of the oontemplated <br />Baggs Project and the future Little Snake (Great Divide) <br />Project. <br /> <br />17.
