.

I. An enhanced watright utility capable of presenting explicitly modeled and aggregated diversion
station files in a diversion station file (.dds) and (.ddr) file without aggregation of water rights.
2, An enhanced watright utility capable of aggregating capacities and acreage's.
3, An enhanced watright utility capable of performing water rights aggregation on the aggregate
structures using up to 10 water rights classes, A report will be generated summarizing the
aggregation.
4, Updated On-Line documentation for the watright utility consisting of an updated man page and
HTML file,

Task 7.02

Update demandts Utility for Aggregated Efficiencies.

Objective: Update the demandts utility to calculate basin-wide acreage-weighted monthly
efficiencies to be used in determining appropriate efficiencies in the aggregate structures.

Approach:
1, RTISW: Modify the demandts report option to calculate basin-wide acreage-weighted monthly
efficiencies for Phase II modeled structures using the following equation (where I = month, j =
structure) :

2. Update the documentation for demandts to reflect changes to the software,

.

Deliverables:
I. An enhanced demandts utility capable of calculating a report listing basin-wide acreage-
weighted system efficiencies.
2. Updated On-Line documentation for the demandts utility consisting of an updated man page and
HTML file.

Task 7.03 Update demandts to Aggregate Historic Diversions and Head gate demands

Objective: Modify the demandts utility to produce a monthly demand time series file (.ddm) given a
diversion station file with aggregate structures (.dds), an existing historical diversion time series file
(.ddh) and a demand time series file (.ddc) containing separate time series for each ofthe structures
to be aggregated,

Approach:
I. The demandts utility will be updated to generate a historical diversions file (.ddh) containing
head gate diversions for each explicitly modeled structure as well as the aggregate structures, To
determine values for insertion in the historical diversion file for aggregated structures, the
consumptive use demands generated for each individual structure included in an aggregation
(generated in Tasks 2 through 6) will be summed and divided by the aggregated structure efficiency
generated in the previous Task.

.

A report will be generated for aggregate structures showing:
Aggregate ID

IJ40

Phase IIIa Scope of Services

A.45

Jan31,1997
