.

will provide written comments on the draft memo before finalization.

Deliverables:
I. StateMod input files (* .dds and * .ddr) that reflect the aggregation of ditch capacities, acreage's and
administration numbers,
2. Memo on determination of aggregated parameters for the aggregated structures.

Task 2.08

Assign Aggregated Irrigation Efficiencies

Objective: Assign and incorporate average monthly efficiency values for each aggregated irrigation
structure into the StateMod .dds input file.

Prerequisite: Demandts will be modified to calculate average efficiency for diversion structures
specified by the user.

Assumption: Generally, the acreage-weighted average of irrigation efficiencies for explicitly
modeled structures represents irrigation efficiency adequately for aggregated structures.

.

Approach:
I. RTIWR: Run demandts using the Phase II THE StateMod input files to generate a basin wide
efficiency report,
2. STATE: Document the determination of monthly efficiency values in a 1-2 page memorandum.
RTi will provide written comments on this memo before the State finalizes the memo.

Deliverables:
I. Basin wide efficiency numbers,
2. A memorandum documenting the monthly efficiency associated with each of the aggregated
irrigation structures,

Task 2.09

Estimate aggregated irrigation structure demands and historic diversions

Objective: Prepare StateMod ,ddh and .ddm input files. The ,ddh file will contain historical diversions
for Phase II structures and calculated demands for aggregated structures. Also create the white.dds file
using the basin wide efficiency from Phase II. The .ddm file will contain calculated demands for all
irrigation structures.

Prerequisite: Demandts will be modified to sum the irrigation time series for individual structures
represented in aggregated fashion.

.;

Assumption: Historical diversion records for small irrigation structures are generally incomplete or
inadequate for modeling demand, For the aggregated structures, demand at the head gate will be
calculated by estimating consumptive use for all associated irrigated acreage, and dividing by estimated
efficiency,

1172.

Phase ilia Scope of Services

A.12

Jan 31,1997
