Building on this designation, Colorado State University plans to work with other <br />universities, agencies and water industry groups to organize a conference to include workshops on education. training and research issues in the <br />fields of water resources and environment The conference and workshops will feature oplX'ttunities to describe curriculum and programs; to <br />assess educational needs; to evaluate disciplinary issues; to identify program development oppornmities. and to evaluate water and environmental <br />education policy issues. <br /> <br />WHO SHOULD A TTEND--Thc conference and workshops will be of interest to educators; educational administrators; higher education and <br />water policy officials; water agency officials; international Iraining organizations; legislators, and other elected officials. Specialty workshops <br />on program and curriculum development will be of focused interest to educators. <br />The Ford Fmmdation has provided support for a Minority Institutions Collaboration Program in water and environmental resources. Notification of <br />acceptance of abstracts will be made by March 13, 1992. Five-page papers for preprinting in the Conference/Workshops Proceedings will be <br />due May 18, 1992. [Papers received after this date will not appear in the Proceedings.] The Proceedings will be available at the time of the <br />Conference. There is an early discount registration fee of $325.00/pcrson.
