This year 923 <br />WQ. yds. of rock have been quarried and placed in stock piles at Lake Alice and <br />Lake Minatare Dams. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />1023 - Surveys - This ""rk is done in connection with the lining of 1haterals <br />and construction of'water control structures. A total of 84,7 miles of surveys have <br />been made this year. <br /> <br />120 - Observation Tower, Bathhouse and Picnic Shelter. <br /> <br />This combination building is built of native rock and reinforced concrete <br />and designed to look like a lighthouse, The site, being out ~n the long point of <br />land extending into the lake lent itself well for this type of building, The floor <br />plan is in the shape of a cross with four wings projecting from the central t~wer <br />unit, Two of these wings arc used as bathhouse dressing rooms and the other two <br />as semi-open picnic shelters, The tower rises 55 feet and the observation floor at <br />the top is reached by a circulRr reinforced concrete stairway. The building was <br />comple~d ~nis year. Landscaping of the area has been started and will be continued <br />in 1940, <br />
