Depending upon the amount of use of <br />the Desalting Plant, city operating costs could be reduced a <br />maximum of 70 to 85 percent. Actual reduction would depend on <br />the charge negotiated between the City and Reclamation. <br /> <br />As has been discussed these percentages of probability for <br />Desalting Plant operating versus non-operating are being <br />reviewed. Latest hydrology is suggesting that the percentage of <br />Desalting Plant operating years will be higher than 60 percent <br />which would further reduce the operating costs. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />30 <br />
