.

.

Timetable for Proposed Work

The project will be ready to commence in August 2001, assuming that all data and photography access
has been approved and provided, Because of other project demands on CGS staff, this project will be
done on a part-time basis, We anticipate that a draft of the GIS map and report will be completed by
February 2002, and that the fmal delivery will take place by March 15,2002.

CGS project staff will work closely with staff from the City of Colorado Springs (particularly the
Engineering, Planning, and Emergency Management divisions) to report on progress, discuss pertinent
findings, and assure that the City's needs are being met.

Cost Estimate for Proposed Work

The proposed assistance project work listed above will cost approximately $29,100, Please see the
attached Cost Estimate for a breakdown of the funding, We understand thatthe majority of this funding
($20,000) is to be derived from the FEMA Unmet Needs Administrative Fund, and will be administered
through an interagency agreement between CGS and CWCB, The balance of the funding ($9,100) will be
derived from the Colorado Springs Planning Department. ' We propose to expend the CWCB funding
first, followed by the City funding,

The CGS has already provided the funding ($12,000) to fully digitize the HB 1041 geologic hazard
mapping within the city limits, which is not included in the cost estimate.

Please let me know if we can be of further assistance by providing these services.

Sincerely,
r
\

-=::::>.....,'.,A c. .
