Chapter 37 of the Session Laws of <br />1989. the Colorado General Assembly authorized the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board (hereinafter referred to as the State) <br />to conduct a feasibility study of fish culture techniques and <br />of fish hatchery construction and operation for the propagation <br />in Colorado of threatened ann "ndangered fish of the upper <br />Colorado river basin. <br /> <br />StudY Area <br /> <br />The study area shall include all locations within the State <br />of Colorado listed in the DETAILED SCOPE OF SERVICES (Exhibit <br />C). and other probable locations determined during the course <br />of the study (not to exceed a total of 25 sites). which could <br />be developed for said hatchery facilities. <br /> <br />Conduct of th~ Study <br /> <br />The study shall be performed under the general guidance and <br />direction of the State. The Contractor shall be responsible <br />for all work tasks and written products set forth hereinafter. <br /> <br />Work Tasks <br /> <br />The Scope of Services has been developed in response to the <br />objectives of the study described by the State in the Request <br />for Proposal and is limited by the budgetary constraints and <br />the time frames identified in the Study Schedule. The Scope of <br />Services is based on task descriptions to be carried out and <br />the associated depth of analysis appropriate for each of these <br />tasks. This study shall be performed as outlined in Exhibit C <br />in 12 separate tasks to evaluate the technical feasibility of <br />the project alternatives. <br /> <br />Included in these 12 work tasks. the Contractor shall be <br />required to participate in not more than two (2) meetings with <br />various governmental agencies for status report purposes. which <br />will occur within the Denver metropolitan area. The Contractor <br />shall meet with the State as required to discuss study related <br />matters and to present findings on project alternatives. <br />Finally. the Contractor shall make oral status reports to the <br />SLate not less than every two weeks and shall furnish written <br />status reports to the State every four weeks. <br /> <br />2360E* <br />
