<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />BY-LAWS <br /> <br />OF <br /> <br />THE COLORADO RIVER WATER CONSERVATIOn DISTRICT <br /> <br />PREAMBLE <br /> <br />For the purpose of providing for the orderly conduct and <br />carrying on of the business, objects and affairs of The Colorado <br />River Water Conservation District, the Board of Directors of said <br />District hereby makes, publishes and declares these presents to be <br />the By-Laws thereof. <br /> <br />ARTICLE I - DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />When used herein, the following words, terms and phrases shall <br />have the following meaning, to-wit: <br /> <br />1. The term "The Colorado River Water Conservation District <br />Act" shall mean the act as set forth in C.R.S. 37-46-101, et. seq., <br />as amended. <br /> <br />2. The term "District" shall mean The Colorado River Water <br />Conservation District. <br /> <br />3. The term "Executive Committee" shall mean the Executive <br />Committee established by action of the Board of Directors at the <br />regular meeting, held January 17, 1956, provision for the continued <br />existence whereof is herein made. <br /> <br />ARTICLE II - BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br /> <br />SECTION 1 - Number - Powers - Duties. <br /> <br />The number of Directors, their appointment, and their powers <br />and duties being specifically provided in the Colorado River Water <br />Conservation District Act, the provisions of said Act are hereby <br />made a part of these By-LaWS; and the following provisions hereof <br />are supplementary to said provisions. <br />
