Identification of Seepaae Mechanisms. Overall Embank- <br />ment Stabilitv. and Repair Methods <br /> <br />The data assembled in parts A and B of the investigation <br />will be used to identify the most probable mechanism causing <br />seepage through the embankment at the Santa Maria Dam and <br />Continental Dam. The analysis will include tWO-dimensional <br />seepage and stability analysis of representative dam cross <br />sections. Various methods of halting the seepage through the <br />embankment will be presented. The advantages and disadvantages <br />of each repair method will be discussed in terms of ease of <br />construction, general reliability, and technical benefits. <br /> <br />E. Economic Evaluation <br /> <br />Cost estimates will be prepared for each alternative repair <br />method and where applicable, operation and maintenance costs <br />related to repairs will be completed. The financial benefits of <br />the resulting increased reservoir storage will be presented. <br />Finally, a repayment schedule will be prepared for the most <br />feasible repair methods. <br /> <br />F. Feasibilitv Report Preparation <br /> <br />The feasibility report on the rehabilitation of Santa Maria <br />Dam and Continental Dam will be presented according to the <br />following general outline: <br /> <br />I. General Information <br /> <br />II. Company Organization and Financial status <br /> <br />III. Land Use <br /> <br />IV. Water Supply and Requirements <br />V. Plan of Development <br /> <br />VI. Economic Evaluation <br /> <br />VII. Summary <br /> <br />Ten copies of the feasibility report will be provided, five <br />(5) to the CWCB and five (5) to the Santa Maria Reservoir <br />Company. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
