<br />. <br /> <br />Agenda Item 19d <br />January 12, 1994 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Following the execution of the CWCB's construction fund contract, the Town <br />proceeded immediately with the preparation of the project for construction. Much had to <br />be done! <br /> <br />The major tasks included: <br /> <br />o Finalizing the construction documents; <br />o Securing the project right-of-way; <br />o Obtaining a FEMA CLOMR approval; <br />o Giving Weld COUIlty project assurance for the construction of the Perry Street <br />bridge; <br />o Executing a cooperative agreement with the Union Pacific Railroad for the <br />construction of a UPRR bridge modification; and <br />o Finalizing project costs and the budget. <br /> <br />These tasks were satisfactorily competed in December 1993 and a project bid was <br />requested by the Town. As expected, the 1993/1994 project cost is substantially higher than " <br />the 1980 feasibility cost estimate which was used by the CWCB for project authorization and <br />funding in 1981. <br /> <br />Since the project will be constructed and paid through cooperative agreements among <br />Weld County, Union Pacific Railroad, landowners, CWCB, DOLA and the Town, each of <br />those entities appears on these tables: <br /> <br />ERIE FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT <br /> <br />PROJECT COST BREAKDOWN <br /> <br />ITEM <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR <br /> <br />Mod.
