CONSIOERATION OE REOUEST EROM WEST EORT COLLINS WATER DISTRICT TO PROVIDE
TREATED WATER EOR AN AREA IN THE VICINITY DE TED'S PLACE

Mr. Rybus said the West Fort Collins Water District has asked the City of
C,reeley to provirle treated water from the Rellvue Treatment Plant to enable
them to serve approximately 15 property owners in the area who have had a
difficult time getting water. It is proposed that they tie into a line at the
Rel1vue Plant and construct a pumping station and run their own pipeline to
the area. There would be no cost to the City of Greeley. Mr. Rybus noted
that the City would receive approximately $2,000 per year in revenues from
this. and it would be an opportunity to use some of the excess treatment
capacity at the Aellvue Plant. During a discussion of the pros and cons of
the proposal, it was noterl that any Potential agreement should include a
statement that the City of Greeley will not be responsible for water supply or
pressure.

A motion was made by Elmer Rothe and seconded by Richard Roettcher to
authorize the staff to negotiate an agreement with the West Fort Collins Water
District and bring it back to the Water and Sewer Board for approval. The
motion was carried unanimously.

*******

Mr. Rybus said he harl received a request from the City of Loveland to have the
Greeley, Loveland, and Fort Collins Water ~oards schedule an informal meeting
to discuss mutual concernS.
