<br />.I' <br /> <br />. .~' <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />ST A-FF MEMBERS RESPONSIBLE: <br />Alternatives Identification and <br />Evaluation Specialist <br />Preliminary Design and Cost <br />Estimates .Specialist. <br /> <br />TASK NO.: 10 <br />RFP CROSS-REFERENCE: <br />Step 3, Item (2) <br /> <br />TASK TITLE: <br /> <br />Evaluation of Alternative Surface Creek Projects with Transhasin Diversions <br />from Muddy Creek Basin. <br /> <br />RATIONALE: <br /> <br />Using data compiled and results from Task Nos. 2 through 8, combining both a <br />new Surface Creek replacement storage reservoir and transbasin diversion <br />system from the Muddy Creek basin, alternative project configurations can <br />be formulated and evaluated to determine their comparative costs and <br />feasibility. . <br /> <br />METHODOLOGY: <br /> <br />1. Formulate alternative configurations of the project encompassing the range <br />of practical combinations of various sizes of Cactus' Park Reservoir, or other <br />selected replacement reservoir in the Surface Creek basin, and the transbasin <br />import system from the Muddy Creek basin. <br /> <br />2. Prepare appraisal level cost estimates ~f the selected alternative project <br />plans, and evaluate the alternatives with regard to relative feasibility and <br />practicality. <br /> <br />PRODUCTS: <br /> <br />1. Descriptions of alternative project plans using both Surface Creek suppli'es <br />obtained by means of improved system- management and the GM WeD <br />conditional rights. and 'water imported from Muddy Creek by means of <br />enlargement and extension of the Ove:rland Ditch and Reservoir. system. <br /> <br />2.
