Each task description is <br />arranged in a uniform format which presents four categories of information as' <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. The rationale. We have found that this section helps to explain our reasons for <br />conducting a task, the relationship between that task and the many other tasks <br />and the reasons for conducting the task in the particular way we have chosen. <br /> <br />2. The methodology. The st,ep-by-step process of conducting the task helps to <br />explain the sequence, methods and level of detail within each work item. <br /> <br />3. The products. A work task that is. conducted without specific, tangible <br />products as an objective often strays from its intended course. This part of <br />our task format indicate's to those conducting the study as well as to the client <br />exactly what each task will produc.e. <br /> <br />4.' The staff members responsible. This part simply identifies the principal staff <br />participant~ in' each task. These references generally refer to the lead <br />professionals in the'identified disciplines.
