generation efforts which w~uld require substantial commitments of either ~ime or
expense, such as installation of stream or diversion gauging stations, geologic
foundation drilling or seismic testing.

,
We propose to use a 15-year study period of water years 1969 to 1984,
inclusive, if the retords for water year 1984 are available by the tirrte required for
the study. If not, the study period would cover water years 1968 to 1983, indusive.
This period is believed to be statistically representativ~ of a. 30-year or longer
hydrologic record and contains both the extreme low (J 977) and high (1983) years of
record in the study basins.

Section 3: The Work Schedule

Figure II-I presents our proposed schedule for the study. The work schedule
shown is based on an assumed contract starting 'date for the study of August 15,
1985.
