Four
regarding
price and

signed copies
contract No.
the amount of

of a proposed contract amendment
C153374, which reduces the contract
payments under this contract.

2. Four signed copies of a new contract between ewCB and
the Town of Basalt to provide partial funding in an amount
of $221,106.83 for the Town of Basalt Water Storage Project.

3. Copy of Ordinance No.4, Series of 1984, dated March 14,
1984, authorizing the execution of these agreements.

4. Minutes of the meeting of March 14. 1984, in which these
contracts were authorized.

5. Attorney's opinion letter on behalf of the Town of
Basalt verifying these contracts.

As we discussed by phone on March 29, 1984, it is our
understanding that you will hold these contracts from processing
until such time as funding becomes available. We understand
that Governor Lamm has vetoed House Bill 1128, and that there is
currently an attempt to override this veto. In the event that
the veto is overridden, it is our understanding that the funding
requested will become available. If the veto is not overridden,
it is our understanding from conversations with you that the
funding will not be available until after June 30, 1984. Please
let me know if this is not a correct understanding derived from
our conversation.
