<br />- <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />WATER-SEWER BOARD MEETING <br /> <br />August 2, 1990 <br /> <br />Vice Chairman Richard Boettcher called the Water-Sewer Board meeting to order <br />on Thursday, August 2, 1990 at 3:04 p.m. in the City Hall Community Room. <br /> <br />1. ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Present at the meeting were Board members: Richard Boettcher, Julianne <br />Haefeli, Kim Lawrence, Elmer Rothe, and Water Board Attorney Bill Bohlender. <br />Jack Cochran arrived at 3:35 p.m. and Chairman W. D. Farr arrived at 3:43 p.m. <br />From the Water and Sewer Department were Director Mark Rybus and staff <br />members. From the Finance Department was Director Tim Nash. Also present was <br />Mr. Martin Bird. <br /> <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />A motion was made by Julianne Haefeli and seconded by Kim Lawrence to approve <br />the minutes of the meeting of June 7, 1990 as presented. The motion was <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />3. APPROVAL OF AND/OR ADDITIONS TO AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as presented. <br /> <br />4. CONSIDERATION OF SETTING THE CASH EQUIVALENT RATE IN LIEU OF WATER <br />RIGHTS EXCHANGE <br /> <br />Mark Rybus commented that he had no information which indicated the necessity <br />for a change in the cash equivalent rate. However, it was noted that the <br />price of CBT water appears to be moving up because there have been some recent <br />transactions at $1,450 and $1,500 per acre foot. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Kim Lawrence and seconded by Julianne Haefeli to set the <br />cash in lieu of water rate at $1,000 per acre foot. The motion was carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />5. FINAL REPORT ON EAST GREELEY SEWER PROJECT <br /> <br />Wastewater Operations Manager Frank Stephens gave a slide presentation on this <br />project. He said the actual end of the contract period is August 3rd, and <br />substantial completion is expected on Monday, August 6th. The final punch <br />list will be done next week, and the contractor will also continue with paving <br />activities. Mr. Stephens and Mr. Rybus said that, so far, they are pleased <br />with Trainor Construction Company's work. Mr. Rybus said he feels that having <br />this sewer project in service will enhance development in the area, because <br />septic tanks did not work well on some of the land. <br />
