A potential site on the West Fork of Dry
Creek abo t 10 miles southwest of Naturita has been reviewed in previous USBR reports for different purposes,
but none ( these plans are currently being pursued by the USBR. The characteristics of Radium Reservoir are
given in T, Ie V-I.

, ,
, ,
Inflow to t 'e reservoir would be supplied from local precipit~tion, spills from the enlarged Lilylands Reservoir and
I :
diversion f om Dry Creek Basin irrigation flows. To convey!flows to Radium Reservoir, a 36,700 foot extension of
the South ..literal of the Lilylands Canal and a 450 foot siphon would be required. The total estimated cost for
the canal, i take. siphon and reservoir is approximately $3,400,000.

No analysi I of the recreational potential of Radium Reser\;oir has been conducted but a comparison could be
made with Miramonte Reservoir, 18 miles to the east, wl#ch is well patronized. The surface area of Radium
would be I ~re than double that of the 400-acre Miramonte.

V-4

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
