Initiation of discussions between the involved ditch companies

regarding the manner of operation of the enlargement.

The work previously performed is directly applicable to the
presently proposed feasibility study, and it is the intent of the San
Miguel District that this work should represent their matching share
for completion of the study.

Study Approach

While the product of the study will be a report conforming to

the outline as published in the CWCB guidelines, some aspects will

require more effort than others. The intent will be to provide plans

in sufficient detail to allow the District to apply for construction

funding in the Fall of 1984 if, as a result of the study, a

satisfactory construction, operation, and repayment plan has been

identified.

Emphasis of the study will be in three major areas:

1. Water availability and manner of utilization of existing water

rights.

2. Field investigations to provide a firm basis for design.

3. Financial analysis and plan of repayment.

service area map and will cover the areas served by the Cone and

Gurley Ditches.
