<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />2 - Document the history of the HWMRC and provide a description of the <br /> <br /> <br />organizational laws, powers, financial status, and physical <br /> <br /> <br />assets. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />3 - Conduct field investigations to determine the existing conditions of <br />the embankment. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />4 - Conduct a detailed investigation of the utilities that potentially <br />can be affected by the dam improvement activities. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />5 - Conduct the necessary surveying or topographic mapping needed to complete <br /> <br /> <br />a feasibility level design of the proposed improvements. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />6 - Assess the conditions of the upstream face of the dam and reserVOIr. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />7 - Determine the existing condition of the outlet works and determine <br />their adequacy. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />8 - Determine the adequacy of the existing spillway using hydrologic and <br />hydraulic information previously developed by WRC. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />9 - Assess the seepage conditions existing at the dam site and evaluate <br /> <br /> <br />alternative means to reduce seepage to reasonable levels. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />10 - Determine the existing and future raw water supplies potentially <br />available for regulation by Waneka Reservoir. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />II - Identify existing and potential problems with the embankment and its <br />appurtenant structures. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />12 - Evaluate alternative improvement plans to alleviate the existing and <br /> <br /> <br />potential problems identified in item II above, determine their cost, <br /> <br /> <br />and recommend one alternative for implementation. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />13 - Conduct a detailed engineering and economic feasibility of the recom- <br />mended alternative improvement plan. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />14 - Develop a financial program that demonstrates the financial feasi- <br />bility of the proposed facilities. <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />-5- <br />
