The superintendent shall receive such compensation <br />as may be reasonably fixed by the Board of Directors. <br />ARTICLE IV. <br />Seo. 1. The Board of Directors shall have power to call <br />meetings of the stookholders when they deem necessary, written no- <br />tioe thereof having been given, and shall be obliged to call meet- <br />ings of the stockholders upon request of one-third of the owners <br />of the stook. They shall have power to make such by-laws as may not <br />be inconsistant with the laws of Colorado, for the guidence and manage- <br />ment of the affairs of the company. <br />Sec. 2. The Directors shall have the power to fix the rate <br />for teams and man or either, when assessment on said ditch shall be <br />performed by labor and shall have full power to fix the time, <br />place and manner of performing such work as may be necessarily per- <br />formed upon the said ditch, and shall have the power to carry out <br />all the provisions of these by-J~ws. <br />ARTICLE V. <br />The stockholders at their annual meeting shall levy an assess- <br />ment upon all the stock of the company outstanding to provide revenues <br />for payin~ for the maintenance and operation of said ditch, and <br />when such assessment shall have been levied. as aforesaid, tho <br />hoard of directors shall cause the Secret~ry of the company to notify <br />all the stockholders of such assessment ~nn of the time and manner in <br />which the assessment is ordered to be paid, by depositing in the <br />post office a notice to that effect. delivered to the last known <br />post address of the several stockholders. In case any of the <br />stockholders shall fail to pay,any assessments, made and provided <br />in these by-laws, the collection of such assessment may be enforced <br />as follows I <br />First.
