The table shows that, while the X-V Irrigating Ditch does not <br />have a particularly senior water right, it does receive a good supply of water owing to its <br />favorable location on the river. During water years 1990-94, the water diverted into the canal <br />averaged 11,637 acre-feet annually. LAWMA's interest in this water would be at least <br />66/69ths, or 95.65 percent, which provided 11,131 acre-feet during water years 1990-94. <br />Water diverted under the Graham Ditch water right, i.e., water that was diverted into the X-V <br />Irrigating Ditch at a rate greater than 69 cfs, was excluded from this table. <br /> <br />Part of the water shown in Table 10 was obtained from the X-V and Graham Article <br />II Account. This account receives 5.20 percent of the releases from conservation storage for <br />Colorado ditches and part of transit loss account residual. Table 8 in column 3 shows the <br />inflow into the account during water years 1980-94. This water averaged 5,542 acre-feet <br />annually. During water years 1990-94, the inflow into the X-V and Graham Account averaged <br />2,046 acre-feet annually. The X-V and Graham Account water accounted for about 16 <br />percent of the total diversion into the X-V Canal during 1990-94. <br /> <br />Table 11 summarizes estimates of the consumptive use from LAWMA's interests in <br />the X-V surface water rights during water years 1950-94. These estimates reflect the <br />application of 66/69ths of the water from Table 10 to 3,026 irrigated acres. They were <br />based on canal, lateral, and farm efficiencies from the Colorado Water Budget. Specifically, <br />canal and lateral efficiencies were estimated at 80 and 95 percent respectively. The farm <br />efficiency was allowed to reach a maximum of 75 percent. The consumptive irrigation <br />requirements were calculated using the Modified Blaney-Criddle Method with climatic data <br />from the Lamar and Holly weather stations.
