Scope of Services <br /> <br />The Project consis~s of tEchnical assistance by the Contractor to the State <br />Impact Assistance Grant Program and local government applicants in the <br />development of water improvement projects, application for grant <br />assistance, application review, grant and contract scope of work <br />development and project monitoring tasks. <br /> <br />a) Project Development and Application: Upon prior approval by thE <br />Department of Local AffalTs, the Contractor ...till'provide revie\~ <br />services to constituted special districts and local governments that <br />are developing water supply, storage, treatment or distribution <br />projects and may wish to apply for Impact Grant assistance. <br /> <br />b) Application Review: Upon request of the Director of the State Office <br />of Impact Asslstance (DIA), the Contractor will review and comment to <br />the OIA on grant applications and proposed water projects. <br /> <br />c} Contract Development: Following grant offers and upon request by the <br />Department of Local Affairs and upon request of the applicant <br />jurisdiction, the Contractor will assist the applicant jurisdiction in <br />developing a draft grant contract scope of work and will submit the <br />draft for processing to the Impact Program. Such contracts will <br />contain an Exhibit "Hater Project Monitoring Conditions" attached <br />hereto as Exhibit B. <br /> <br />d) Upon execution of contracts <br /> <br /> <br />e) Other Tasks: Upon request by the Department of Local Affairs and a <br />determination of sufficient funds available in this Contract budget, <br />other reasonable tasks may be assigned to the Contractor, i.e., to <br />review past water projects, flood control and irrigation proposals and <br />related matters. <br /> <br />2. Time of Performance <br /> <br />The Project will commence within thirty (30) days of execution of this <br />Contract and will be completed within twelve (12) months but not later than <br />July I, 19B4. <br /> <br />3. Payment Schedule <br /> <br />1. $20,000 <br /> <br />Initial pajwent is to be made within thirty (30) days of <br />execution of this Contract. <br /> <br />II. 15,000 <br /> <br />In three interim payments as billed by the Contractor on <br />a quarterly (three months) basis i,n accordance with <br />reporting requirements specified in 5, "Reporting <br />Schedule" below.
