This task includes work related 10 the water coun proceedings including assistance in
pleadings, discavery, depositions, negotiatians, preparation of exhibits al'ld testimany and
trial participation.

The attached Ta.ble I summarizes prajected hours and expenses to complete the engineering
work far this proj ect. Wark would be billed a.t the hourly rates givell. on Table 2, The total
cost estimated cost for Tasks 1 'through 11, including development ofaIl eogi.neering report,'
is projected to be $8690. This cast wOllld not be exceeded -without prior notification and
approval by tb.e CWCB. The.." zin"ering COSts for Task 12 (litigation. suppon) is impossible
to. accurately farecast, These costs mostly depend an the amount and dellfee af appositio.u
in the case by objectors, and whether or not the case is litigated in court. Any wark
performed under Task 12 would only be done at the request and authorizatian oithe CWCB
