GENERAL

The Town of Keenesburg is located in Weld County, Colorado approxi-
mately 35 miles northeast of Denver along Interstate Highway BO.
The Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad passes through the Town.
The location and transportation facilities make the community a
desirable location for new residential and industrial growth to occur.

Keenesburg is in serious need of improvements to its domestic water
system. All of the major components of the water system such as
the treated water storage facilities, distribution system and raw
water supply system are inadequate to meet existing and future re-
quirements. The most serious deficiency of the system is the limited
supply of well water available to the Town. The limitations of the
water system have caused water service problems for the users in the
Town and have restricted growth of the community.

This report discusses the needs of the Town's water system and proposes
improvements to upgrade the system.

B.
