April, May, October, and <br />November have relatively warm days and cold evenings. The average <br />evaporation measured in the non-freezing period from April to October <br />in the period of 1961 to 1964 was 56.4 inches. Actual evaporation <br />exceeds this by' several inches due to sublimation of ice and snow and <br />from liquid surfaces during portions of March and November. The mean <br />temperature established during a 30 year period to 1964 by the United <br />States Weather Bureau at the Denver airport was 49.50F.
