Boulder and Left Hand Repair of Outlet Works
CWCBFeasibilityStudy
NovemberS, 1999

feet of freeboard as the dam crest will be regraded to gage height 12.7, This design will pass the
required design inflow flood without the dam overtopping as required by the SEa,

The vehicle turnaround will be constructed on the upstream slope near the spillway facilities using
reinforced earth with a gunnite facing, The reinforced earth will be constructed at a near vertical angle
from the toe of the upstream slope, This will allow a wider crest without a significant decrease in
storage capacity,

Cost Estimate

The selected alternative is estimated to cost a total of $140,500 ($110,500 for construction, $15,000 to
complete the hydrologic evaluation and $15,000 to complete the design and feasibility study), The
construction cost estimate, including contingencies, was provided by the Ditch Company's engineer
and is summarized on Table 7,

6, Contingencies (10% of Line 4) $9,700
7, Subtotal - Engineering Supervision and Construction Costs $110,500
(Lines 4, 5 and 6)
8, Grand Total- Feasibility, Design and Construction $140,500
(Line 1 and Line 7)

Implementation Schedule

The design plans for replacing the outlet works, incorporating a drop-inlet spillway into the outlet
works, regarding the dam crest, and constructing a vehicle turnaround at the outlet structure will be
completed by mid-December. The SEa will have to review and approve the design plans before
construction can occur, The SEa has up to 180 days to review and approve the plans; however with
cooperation of the SEa, it is the intent of the Ditch Company to have the plans approved by the end of
February, 2000 so that construction can start by March 1,2000, The work is estimated to require
about 30 to 45 days and should be completed by April 15, 2000,
