Task 5 - Alternative Evaluation
Objective:
The alternatives identified in Task 4 must be evaluated to distinguish the differences between them and to
formnlate up to three sound system alternatives,

Methodology:
I. The alternative matrix will be reduced to system alternatives, The six evaluation factors used by the
CWCB will be used which include the following:
a, description of project outputs or yields;
b, project costs including capital costs, annual costs and cost per unit of output;
c, impacts on the man-made environment, the natural environment, and existing social structure;
d, the ~cial feasibility of the proposed project as measured by the project sponsor's ability to
repay all reimbursable costs;
e, institutional requirements for project implementation; and
f. any special technical problems which shonld be taken into consideration,
