The Long Term Agreement <br /> <br /> <br />with the Agricultural Stabl I Izatlon and Conservation Service (ASCS) has <br /> <br /> <br />provided the means to address several critical areas with matching funds <br /> <br /> <br />In the amount of 1~6,~~~.~~ dollars over a five year period. These <br /> <br /> <br />funds along with monies that are being appl led for through the State <br /> <br /> <br />Water Conservation Board wll I address the fol lowing areas. <br />- 38~ I.f. 36" reinforced concrete pipe from Poplar to Pine Street. <br />- 636 I.f. ditch lining from Cobalt Street to Elm Street. This will <br />tie In with ditch lining completed In 1987 and wil I prevent seepage <br />losses and water damage to Highway 115. <br />- 68Z I.f. 36" reinforced concrete pipe from 4th Street to existing <br />I ining at HI I I Top. This wi i I prevent ditch overtopping and flooding of <br />basements and residential areas along ditch. <br />- 3,~~~ i.f. of concrete ditch lining from Locust to Pinon Street. The <br />ditch runs through several areas of gravel and at one point the water <br />seeps out of the ditch Into an old fracture that runs Into old coal beds <br />In the area. <br />- 737 I.f. of 36" reinforced concrete pipe from the siphon at the <br />railroad tracks to 4th Street. <br /> <br />This work although scheduled over a five year _period, wi I I be completed <br />during one season providing Colorado State Water Conservation Board <br />funds become available. There are other areas along the ditch that need <br />work including ditch I ining from Weir to tunnel along a formation cal led <br /> <br />z <br />
