Allow a minimum clearance of 15 feet between the pipeline and the edge of pavement
structure along the S.H. 65;

· The pipeline should be jacked or tunnel under the 1-70; and

· The pipeline should be provided with a protective sleeve in the vicinity of 1-70 bridge

structures.

The proposed design and pipeline alignment has been modified to reflect the CDOH requests.

6.3.2 Colorado Historical Society

As part of permitting requirements, a Section 106 review may be required for the subject site.
Section 106 refers to the Federal Review process designed to ensure that historic properties are
considered during project planning and execution. The review process is administered by the
Advisory Council on historic Preservation, an independent Federal agency.

For purposes of Section 106, any property listed in or eligible for the National Register of Historic
Places is considered historic. The list includes buildings, structures, objects, sites, districts, and
archeological resources.

In order to identify and evaluate historic resources present at the subject site, a computer search
of the Colorado Inventory of Cultural Resources was conducted by the office of Archaeology and
Historic Preservation. The results of the search are summarized in Appendix A. The computer
search revealed 14 historical sites and 3 areas where surveys have been conducted, in the vicinity
of the project site.

The sites and areas listed in the Colorado Inventory of Cultural Resources for subject site were
examined during SRK's site visit on November 8, 1990. Based on the proposed pipeline route and
observations made in the field it is our opinion that the proposed pipeline alignment will not have
any impact on the listed resources, and other field studies and additional surveys may not be
needed.

6.3.3 United States Army Corps or Engineers

As indicated in Section 6.1, the proposed pipeline will be located along the flood plain of Plateau
Creek, and will be placed under the Colorado River at two locations.
