<br />/ <br /> <br />. Rules and Regulations <br />Operation of Project Works and Distribution of Water <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1. Project Irrigation Water. Project irrigation water shall be the water made <br />available by the project facilities for use of the District for irrigation purposes, and <br />shall consist of: <br />. Water diverted from direct flow of Rifle Creek <br />. Storage releases from Rifle Gap Reservoir <br />. Water diverts from East Rifle Creek in exchange for water released from <br />storage in Rifle Gap Reservoir <br />Water diverted from the Colorado River <br />. Usable return flow developed from use of project water in the project area. <br /> <br />2. Eligible Lands. Project irrigation water may be supplied only to those lands <br />within the boundaries of the Silt Water Conservancy District which are classified as <br />irrigable by the Bureau of Reclamation and for which project irrigation water has <br />been allotted, <br /> <br />3. Call for Water. All project irrigation water shall be delivered on a call basis, and <br />all orders for water must be written and received by the Secretary at least 48 hours <br />before turn days, which are hereby designated as Monday, Tuesday, and <br />Wednesdays of each week. The ordering day will be Saturday for Silt Mesa, Davie <br />Ditch, and Dry Elk Valley Lateral. Delivery of water shall be made during the period <br />from April 15 to October 15 of each year, provided, the project works are available <br />for operation. In the event that snow conditions or other acts of God preclude <br />operation of the project works, the aforementioned period of time will be altered as <br />required. Domestic or stock water may be delivered to a water user after October <br />15 and will be charged against his next year's supply providing the recipient stands <br />all losses from the point of diversion when his lateral is not delivering at least five <br />cubic feet of water per second of time Any irrigation water not called for by the <br />water users and which remains in the reservoir after October 15 of any year will <br />revert to the District's water supply. <br />
