<br />. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />UYo:,c IF # ~ IF ID <br /> <br />· 1.987 <br />COLOR, <br />CONSERv~gg WATER <br />N f'OA.9D <br /> <br />AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> <br />Thi s Agreement, made thi s 8 day of September, 1987, by and between <br />THE CUCHARAS SANITATION AND mrn DISTRICT, a Colorado Utility Special <br />District, hereinafter referred to as the "OWNER" and HYDRO-TRIAD, LTD., a <br />Colorado Corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "ENGINEER." <br /> <br />The OWNER intends to evaluate and determi ne the technical and economic <br />feasibility of a water storage dam on White Creek. This feasibility study <br />shall be paid for in part with financial assistance from the State of <br />Colorado acting through the Colorado Water Conservation Board, hereinafter <br />referred to as "CWCB" in the form as provided in the feasibility Report <br />Contract executed between the Depar'tJnent of Natural Resources (Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board) and the Cucharas Sanitation and Water District <br />from fund number 4008, Gf/L account, 5290 x, ABL account number 12900, <br />Original Unit 77-77-777 only. <br /> <br />The ENGINEER represents that it is a professional engineering firm with <br />the experience and expertise to perform the feasibility study in a satis- <br />factory and timely manner, and agrees to perform all of the various pro- <br />fessional engineering services for the feasibility study. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the nutua1 covenants and promi ses <br />between the parties hereto, it is expressly agreed as follows: <br /> <br />SECTION A - ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> <br />The ENGINEER shall furnish engineering services as follows: <br /> <br />STUDY METHODOLOGY <br /> <br />The Whi te Creek Dam and Reservoi r feasibil ity study, as presently <br />envisioned, will consist of the following major steps: <br /> <br />A. Data Collection and Coordination <br /> <br />The initial phase of the study will consist of the assembly and review <br />of avail ab1 e i nformati on needed to adequately assess the project <br />feasibility. This process will include the following activities: <br /> <br />1. Review of previous studies. <br /> <br />2. Review existing reports prepared by the U. S. Forest Service, the <br />U.S. Geo I ogi ca1 Survey, the Soil Conserva ti on Servi ce and others. <br /> <br />3.
