<br />11-3 <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />STATUTORY POSITION OF WATER SYSTEM <br /> <br />The Town of Hotchkiss is organized and incorporated pursuant to <br />the requirements of the Constitution of the State of Colorado <br />and Colorado Statutes. The town is governed by a Mayor and <br />Town Council; at present these are: <br /> <br />Gary L. Sparkman, Mayor <br />Albert Burkhard <br />Cl iff Davis <br />Glenn King <br />George McCabe <br />Dave Price <br />J. B. Stone <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />As an incorporated town, Hotchkiss has all of the legal powers <br /> <br /> <br />as set forth in the Colorado Constitution and Statutes, including, <br /> <br /> <br />but not limited to, those powers provided in Chapter 139 C.R.S. 1963 <br /> <br />as amended. <br /> <br />The rules and regulations that govern the water system are based <br />on 2 town ordinances: <br /> <br />"Ordinance No. 3 - 1975 <br />An ordinance amending Chapter 8, section 1 of the <br />municipal code of the town of Hotchkiss, Colorado, <br />providing for rules, regulations and charges for <br />water use." <br /> <br />'~rdinance No. 4 - 1975 <br />An ordinance amending Chapter 8, section 1 of the <br />municipal code of the town of Hotchkiss, Colorado, <br />providing for rules, regulations and charges for <br />water use by out-of-town water users." <br /> <br />. <br />
