I
I
I
I

Water Rights Currently Owned

The Town owns two rights in Leavenworth Creek dated 1866; one for diversions up to 3.0 cfs from
May 1 through September 30, and the other for 1.14 cfs from October 1 through April 30. The
smaller diversion is sufficient for domestic uses in the Town during the winter period. The larger
water right of 3.0 cfs is not of sufficient seniority to be call-proof from downstream senior water
rights during the SUmmer period. The Georgetown Reservoir can store up to 0.286 acre-feet.

I
I

The decree along with the water rights tabulation from the State Engineer's Office is attached in
Appendix B.

A detailed analysis of Georgetown's water rights was performed by MWE in 1990 and is contained in
Appendix E.

I
I
I
I
I

Cost Estimate

The selected alternative is estimated to cost $275,000.
