The Contractor shall "not commence work under this contact <br />until it shall have ,obtained all' insuranc~ required under this <br />'paragraph and such insurance shall have been approved by the <br />'State, nor shall the Contractor allo~ _any subcontractor to <br />commence work on its subcontract until all insurance required of <br />the subcontractor shall have been so obtained and approved. The <br />minimum insurance required hereunder shall include: <br /> <br />A. Workers' Compensation "Insurance: The Contractor and <br />each subcontractor or consultant shall comply' with the <br />Workmen's Compensation Act of Colorado (Articles 40 through <br />54, Title 8, C.R.S.. 197.3) if applicable. <br /> <br />B. Liability Insurance - The Contractor shall maintain in. <br />ef-fect, to the extent that such insurance is available. at <br />reasonalbe cost, employer1s liability, professional <br />liability, comprehensive general 'liability, (bodily injury <br />~nd property damage) and comprehensive automobile liability <br />(bodily injury and property damage) insurance with respect <br />to employees and vehicles of the Contractor assigned to'the <br />prosecution of work under this contract in a maximum amount <br />not less than $1,000,000. The Contractor will supply to <br />the State a certificate of each such insurance and . <br />s.ubsequently renewals must contain the :following provisions <br />(to provide the indicated protection to the State): <br /> <br />The'State of Colorado, acting by and through the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board (hereinafter <br />"the State"), is of an additional insured for all <br />coverages (including automObile) provided by this <br />policy of general comprehensive insurance and <br />shall be fully and completely protected to the <br />extent provided in said 'policy for. bodily injury <br />and property damage sustained by any person, <br />organiz'ation or corporation in connection with <br />any negligent act or omission .performed by the <br />Contractor (except for professional liability) by <br />virtue of. the' provisions of that contract betwee"n <br />the State and Tudor' Enginee~ing Company, for <br />professional services, for the feasibility ,study <br /> <br />Page 5 of 9 Pages <br />
