~

~)

Reduce the data from the strip charts for ,elected periods of runoff at hourly intervals and

compile the data in computer storage. A maximum of eighty (80) engineer hours total will be

spent on this task. The number of periods which can be examined in this time will depend on

the state and quality of the raw data, which is unknown at this time. After an initial review of

the data has been conducted by Boyle, the CWCB will be notified and options for reducing the

data collection effort discussed.

EI0.2 Data Analvsis - The streamflow data collected will be analyzed to estimate a mean,
characteristic dirunal flow variation curve, plotting the ratio of flow to mean daily flow against
time of day in hours. If warranted by the data, different curves could be developed for
different months or for different flow ranges. To the degree practicable, the potential for

differences in diurnal fluctuation patterns between West Beaver Creek and the remainder of

the tributary streams above the Beaver Creek near Norwood gage will be assessed.

EI03 Ooeratinl! Data - The operating records of the Farmers Water Development Company for the

years 1976 through 1980 will be requested. The records will be reviewed for information
which might be of assistance in the assessment and interpretation of the streamflow data. The

information of interest will be daily reselvoir outflow and storage values and any notes

indicating the operating conditions or procedures followed in the collection system.

Coordination and review efforts with the CWCI8 for this task are described in Task EI6.0.

Documentation of the procedures and results for this task is described in Task E17.0.

Products:

Task memorandum (approximately 3 page,) briefly describing the data collected, analyses
performed, and findings.

24
