..~
~)

~~)

....'

E9.1 Croooinl! Patterns - Describe proposed cropping patterns (one each) for the three service

areas based on information developed as part of the initial Phase I investigations and

comments received from local irrigators.

E9.2 Review Croooinl! Patterns - Suhmit proposed cropping patterns to the presidents of ditch

companies and the County Extension Agent. Ditch companies will modify the cropping

patterns as desired and inform Boyle and the CWCB in writing as to the desired cropping

patterns to be used for their respective service areas. Ditch company responses will be made

in a timely manner consistent with the attac:hed study schedule.

E93 Irril!ation Water Demands - Upon selection of a cropping pattern, irrigation water demands

will be revised to reflect the changes made to the cropping patterns. Irrigated areas, crop

consumptive use values, types and distribution of irrigation practices, irrigation efficiencies,

reusable return flow factors, and canal conveyance losses assumed for the initial Phase I Study

will be used to estimate irrigation water demands.

The canal conveyance losses for all ditch",; will be based on the 12% of flow value estimated

from the experience of Farmers Water Development Company for Gurley Ditch. Losses for

other ditches will be estimated in a proportionate manner considering length and seepage

area.

Coordination and review efforts with the CWCB for this task are descnbed in Task E16.0.

Documentation of the procedures and results for this task is described in Task E17.0.

Products:

Task memorandum (approximately 3 pages) briefly describing the revised cropping patterns

and irrigation water demands to be used in the evaluation of alternatives.

22
