~

~

TASK E9.0 WATER DEMANDS

Purnose: Modify the cropping patterns used in the initial Phase I Study to more closely represent

current cropping practices and adjust irrigation water demand estimates accordingly.

MethodoloIN: Suggested modifications to the cropping patterns used in the study were received from study
area irrigators. These SuggestioDS generally recommended that the cropping patterns used for

the study more closely represent current cropping practices. The cropping patterns for all

service areas will be reviewed and revised to more closely reflect the cropping patterns

desired. The revised cropping patterns will be submitted to the presidents of the respective

ditch companies and the County Extension Agent for review and concurrence. Irrigation

water demand estimates will be revised accordingly to reflect changes made to the cropping

patterns. The revised irrigation water demands will be used for all new alternatives

investigated, and the analyses conducted for Alternatives G, 1., and W as reported in the

Interim Report will be revised to reflect the new cropping patterns. Unless otherwise

specified, the assumptions, procedures, and techniques used for the initial Phase I Study will

be used to estimate the revised water demands. No additional work will be performed for

municipal and industrial (M&I) water demands.

The following work items are included in the water demands tasks:

21
