<br />.' <br />, ) <br /> <br />e) <br /> <br />TASK E6.o <br /> <br />HYDROLOGY WORKSHOP <br /> <br />Purnose: <br /> <br />Meet with the ditch company personnel to transfer information, exchange ideas, promote <br /> <br />discussions and address questions regarding hydrologic and water rights data and analyses. <br /> <br />Methodolol!V: Prepare and conduct a one,day (8 hrs.) workshop, Address the hydrology and water rights <br /> <br />analyses performed for the Phase I Interim Report, the proposed flow measurement program, <br /> <br />diurnal variations of snowmelt runoff and its potential effect on diversions, ditch and diversion <br /> <br />structure hydraulic capacities, ditch operations, and two alternative sites (Turner Creek and <br /> <br />Ed Joe Draw) suggested for further study. The workshop will be attended by study area <br /> <br />participants representing the three major ditch companies, the SMWCD. and a representative <br /> <br />of the CWCB. The CWCB will contact local participants and arrange for the use of suitable <br /> <br />facilities. <br /> <br />The following work items are included in the hydrology workshop task: <br /> <br />E6.1 W orkshoo Preoaration ' Boyle, in consultation with the CWCB. will review, assemble. and <br /> <br />prepare pertinent information and materials for presentation at the workshop, Existing <br /> <br />working maps, fi 5Ures. computer printouts, and calculation sheets will be used to promote a <br /> <br />workshop atmosphere and the free exchange of ideas. Handout materials will be provided. <br /> <br />E6.2 Conduct Workshoo ' Boyle personnel will conduct a one-day (8 hr.) workshop in Montrose, <br /> <br /> <br />Colorado covering the topics listed above. To the extent practical, questions and concerns will <br /> <br />be addressed and resolved. The future direction of the study will be discussed and suggestions <br /> <br />solicited. <br /> <br />13 <br />
