Overland
flow intercepted by the canal below the dam will be considered in '
meeting crop demands. No modification of monthly flow volumes
developed previously at the point of diversion or downstream of the
reservoir is anticipated,

Data files required for analyses.

11) GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATIONS AT LILYLANDS RESERVOIR

Purpose:

Methods:

Provide information to allow evaluation of potential Lilylands Reservoir
enlargement.

No existing subsurface geotechnical information is available at Lilylands
Reservoir. Investigation will include two borings to evaluate existing
embankment, overburden and foundation, and borrow investigations for
construction materials. Included are the following:

o Two centerline crest borings;

o Packer tests for permeability and shear strength evaluation for the
boring, and;

o Borrow investigations in and near the proposed reservoir area,
Ten test pits will be excavated, samples will be obtained and tests
will be made.

The geotechnical borings will be conducted by the BOR with input from
Boyle and CWCB with regard to sampling location and procedures,
Chen,Northern will be retained by Boyle to log the borings, perform
material testing and produce a report of summary results.

The borrow investigations will be conducted by the BOR with input from
Boyle and the CWCS with regard to location, procedures and testing,
Test results will be documented by the BOR, and will be summarized in a
report by Boyle. Boyle and the CWCB will review the information
gathered, The BOR will obtain all permits required for borings and
borrow investigations,

7
