Information from seven borings and several test pits are available from the feasibility report for expansion of Lone Cone Reservoir. Examination of the existing data il1dicates that additional information would be very valuable in defining some unknown conditions, Included are the following: o One centerline crest boring in the left abutment and one boring drilled downstteam. near the outlet works; o Packer tests for permeability and shear strength evaluations for each of these borings, The geotechnical borings will be conducted by the BaR with input from Boyle and the CWCB with regard to sampling location and procedures, Chen, Northern will be retained by Boyle to log the borings, perform material testing and produce a report of summary results. Boyle and the CWCB will review the information gathered. The BaR will obtain all permits required for borings and borrow investigations. Summary report of data and results of the geotechnical investigation.
