I
I

C.

Scope of Work

I

The scope of work for the engineering services set forth in the
Contract is summarized as follows:

I

I

1. Determine the amount of surface water supplies from the
Crystal Creek. Black Mesa, local runoff, and return flow avail-
able for storage in the Gould Reservoir. The effect of routing
the present supplies of the Cattleman's Ditch Company through
storage at the Gould Reservoir on the overall water supply
situation in the project area is to be investigated.

I

I

2. Prepare feasibility-level designs of the storage, diversion

and conveyance structures, except that only reconnaissance-level

designs will be prepared for the proposed Black Mesa collection

conduit.

I

I

I

3. Briefly investigate water rights constraints that apply to
the project.

I

4. Perform operation studies of the system to provide the most

efficient and economic methods of utilizing available water to

meet the demands of the water users.

I

I

5. Briefly discuss the environmental considerations attendant to
the project.

I

6. Prepare project cost estimates at the feasibility study
level.

I

I

7. Evaluate the projected benefits and prepare the necessary

economic and financial analyses, including the repayment capacity

of the water users.

I
I

I

I-8
