<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PROJECT SUMMARY <br /> <br />Location of Dam: Northwest 1/4 of Section 13, Township 14 South, <br />Range 91 West, 6th Principal Meridian. <br /> <br />Name of stream impounded: Sa~'s Creek, per USGS Quadrangle map. <br />It is called Lone Cabin Creek on the map of the Lone Cabin Ditch <br />and Reservoir. <br /> <br />Approximate Elevation of dam crest: <br /> <br />7360 feet, MSL. <br /> <br />Drainage area: <br /> <br />875 acres or 1.37 square miles. <br /> <br />Topography, geology, vegetative cover: <br /> <br />Topography is steep, rocky slopes. <br />above the dam is 21 percent. <br /> <br />Average gradient of the creek <br /> <br />Geology, according to Map 1-698, Miscellaneous Geologic <br />Investigations, places the reservoir in the Mancos Shale, <br />Niobrara equivalent. A light-gray calcareous shale that is <br />present in the upper lower part, which is where the Engineer <br />feels the reservoir is located. maximum thickness of Mancos is <br />about 4,000 feet. <br /> <br />Vegetative cover consists of very dense oakbrush and grasses. <br /> <br />Hydrology: Not applicable.
