PROJECT SUMMARY

Location of Dam: Northwest 1/4 of Section 13, Township 14 South,
Range 91 West, 6th Principal Meridian.

Name of stream impounded: Sa~'s Creek, per USGS Quadrangle map.
It is called Lone Cabin Creek on the map of the Lone Cabin Ditch
and Reservoir.

Approximate Elevation of dam crest:

7360 feet, MSL.

Drainage area:

875 acres or 1.37 square miles.

Topography, geology, vegetative cover:

Topography is steep, rocky slopes.
above the dam is 21 percent.

Average gradient of the creek

Geology, according to Map 1-698, Miscellaneous Geologic
Investigations, places the reservoir in the Mancos Shale,
Niobrara equivalent. A light-gray calcareous shale that is
present in the upper lower part, which is where the Engineer
feels the reservoir is located. maximum thickness of Mancos is
about 4,000 feet.

Vegetative cover consists of very dense oakbrush and grasses.

Hydrology: Not applicable. This is a repair to the downstreem
face of the dam. Dam dimensions will not change.
