Any additional supplies developed
from enlargement or rehabilitation of this reservoir could also be included in
the plan. Currently, the irrigation company exchanges water with Greeley,
Fort Coll ins, and the Di vi de Reservoi r and Canal Company, owners of Worster
Reservoir.

Another potential exchange, currently being explored, involves the Water
Supply and Storage Company, whi cl1 i rri gates about 52,100 acres. Wi ndy Gap
water owned by Greeley would be delivered to Water Supply and Storage when
they would normally be releasing storage water from Chambers Lake. In
exchange, Greeley would be allowed to transfer water from Chambers Lake into
Barnes Meadow Reservoi r for use in the wi nter. Si nce the water stored in
Barnes Meadow would be considered Windy Gap water, which originates from
transmountain diversions, the 87 percent return flow would be credited to the
City for reuse.

1231 H

-16-
