<br />. <br /> <br />about 15 feet high by 12 feet wide. The floor thickness would <br />probably be about 12 inches. A cutoff wall about six feet deep at <br />the new tunnel outfall would be required to prevent undercutting. <br />The required concrete volume would be about 250 cubic yards. Large <br />riprap would be used to protect the dam toe from erosion caused by <br />outlet works releases. <br />Also included under Alternate C would be the outlet works repair <br />and north abutment monitoring program. Since the dam would be <br />capable of passing the probable maximum flood, the owners presumably <br />would not have to provide a flood warning program. However, the <br />quantity of water passing the spillway (64,000 cfs) for the probable <br />maximum flood will still cause severe flooding downstream with <br />significant property damage and probable loss of life. For this <br />reason it would be advisable to have a flood warning program even if <br />it is at the expense of local government, state government or federal <br />government. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-48- <br />
