<br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />PROPOSED WORK PROGRAM <br /> <br />The work progr8l" outlinGd bGlow is basGd on thG Colorado WatGr ConsGr- <br />vat ion Board guidelines for preparing similar studies and other specific <br />requiremGnts as requGstGd by the Colorado Water Conservation Board. <br /> <br />The proposed work program which will meet the study objectives includes <br />the following tasks: <br /> <br />1. MeGt with the re['resentativGs of thG Colorado WatGr Conservation <br />Board, City of LafaYGtte, Colorado Division of WatGr RGsourcGS <br />(State Engineer's Office), Henry Wanek a Mutual Reservoir Company, <br />Utility CompaniGs, and othGr privatG or [luhlic a'lencieG for hn"i.e <br />information and data gathering. <br /> <br />2. Document the history of the Henry Waneka Mutual Reservoir Company <br />nnd provide n deGcri[ltion of thc laws under II/hieh it i" Ol'lJnlllzL>d: <br />its powGrs, its financial status and its physical assets. <br /> <br />3. Conduct field investigations to determine the existing conditions <br />of thG embankment, and document thG vegetation tYPG and vegetation <br />growth within the dam embankment. <br /> <br />4. Conduct a detailed investigation of the utilities that potentially <br />can be affected by thG dam improvemGnt activities. <br /> <br />5. Conduct the necessary surveying or topographic mapping needed to <br />complete a preliminary design of the proposGd improvements. <br /> <br />6. Assess the conditions of the upstream face of the dam and reservoir <br />dGpth at selected locations. <br /> <br />7. Determine thG existing condition of the outlet works and determine <br />their adequacy. <br /> <br />8. Determine the adequacy of the existing spillway using hydrologic <br />and hydraulic information previously developGd by \1RC, Inc. Alse, <br />determine the adequacy of the channel conveying spillway overflow <br />to Coal CrGek. <br /> <br />9. Assess thG seepagG conditions existing at the dam site and evaluate <br />alternative means to reduce seepage to reasonable levels. <br /> <br />10. Determine the existing and future raw water supplies potentially <br />available for rGgulation by Waneka Reservoir. <br /> <br />11. Identify existing and potential problems with the embankment and its <br />appurtenant structures. <br />
