.

.

Tasks

RTi will, as budgeted in Exhibit D, provide maintenance and support for the CDSS
components in several areas. The tasks described below identify potential maintenance
activities in those areas that have been identified with State management team input
and which will benefit all CDSS users. In some cases, users of the existing system have
identified specific tasks. Costs have been estimated based on the specific task (e.g.,
review of current State Mod software and baseline data set compatibility). In other
cases, more general support items are identified (e.g., updating the CDSS web site for
new products from the State and contractors) and costs have been estimated based on
previous similar activities and the expected levels of effort during the maintenance
period.

Task 1 Develop Data-Centered CU DMI

. Review DMI requirements and propose design.
. RTi will review existing data requirements for the CU model, based on the CU
model documentation and conversations with StateCU consultant. This will
identify which CU related data exist in HydroBase and which are hand-edited.
RTi will propose a final design for the CU DMI in a memorandum and/or meeting
with State of Colorado staff and will react to feedback from the State.
. Develop CU DMI and test.
. Based on the design determined in the previous step, development will occur to
fully implement the CU DM!. It is anticipated that this will be delivered to the
State as a prototype after which final changes will be made. Testing will occur on
current data sets (e.g., RGDSS data set) and comparisons will be made with the
files generated by other methods. An explanation of differences will be noted in a
memorandum to the State.
. Release software and documentation.
. RTi will prepare documentation and release the documentation and software on the
CDSS web site.

Task 2. Database, Software Maintenance

. Provide support during the period of the contract to help the CDSS's database
administrator with routine activities, which may include making database design
changes, updating the database documentation, correcting data errors as they are
identified, and modifying the CD database products.
. Provide support related to the database update to occur at the beginning of 2002
and containing the year 2001 data, including, for example, installing the current SOL
Server database on the development machine at RTi, producing Microsoft Access
files and CD products, and testing major CDSS applications like CWRAT,
StateView, using the new database.

K:IPROJECTS\A517 _RGDSSICDSSMaintScope2001IRTi_maintenance_contracC2001_B.doc
Page 11
