KNOW ALL HEN 8Y THESE PRESENTS; That We, J. D. 8rown, J. T. Devin,
W. A. Snyder, W. A.Sargent, James E. Jewell, J. P. Curry, George S. Redfield,
W. S. Simpson and W. W. Putnam, citizens of the United States and residents of
the State of Colorado, have associated ourselves together as a company under
the name and style of The Jackson Lake Reservoir and Irrigation Company, for
the purpose of becoming a bo~ corporate and politic, under and by virtue of
the laws of the State of Colorado, and In accordance with the provisions of
the laws of said state, we do hereby make,execute and acknowledge In triplicate
this certificate In writing, under and by virtue of said laws, and in so doing
do certify hereby as follows.
First. The corporate name and style of our said con~any shall be "The
. Jackson Lake Reservoir and Irrigation Company".
Second. The objects and purposes for which said company ls formed and
Incorporated Is for the purpose of acquiring title and ownership In and to
that certain storage reservoir known as The Jackson Lake Reservoir, together
with its headgates, dams, weirs, Inlet ditches, belonging thereto, and the out-
let ditches therefrom, together with all water rights, reservoir rights,
appropriations, priority of rights and claims to any priorities or appropriations
therefor, rlghts,of way, lands and all lands and franchises thereunto belonging
or In any wise appertalnl~g as well as all filings In connection therewith, rights
of enlargements of the same, and to own, use, enjoy, operate, repair, enlarge
and maintain the same for the mutual use and benefit of the stockholders of our
said company equally In proportion to the amount each share of stock bears to
the entire capital stock of our said company and to assume the obligations of
The South Platte Land, Reservoir and Irrigation Company, owners of said Jackson
Lake Reservoir, to the former owners, successors and assigns of water rights
therein heretofore sold and issued by it for water therein In the aggregate
amount of fifteen hundred and fifty of such rights therein, calling for the
aggregate amount of fifteen hundred fifty million (1,550,000,000) cubic feet
of storage capac~ty for water therein by the organization of this company and the
