You will fully implement the proposedPMJM mitigation plans as <br />outlined in the Biological Opinion dated December 27, 2001. <br /> <br />2. Impacts to potential PMJMhabitat will be offset through the <br />mitigation of 4.67 acres with the action area. Specific locations and <br />acreage (as specified in the BA) may be found in Table 1 of the <br />Biological Opinion. All mitigation lands will be restored, created, or <br />enhanced as either grassland or shrub-grass communities. <br /> <br />3. As part of the created habitat component of ndtigation work, a <br />60 foot wide travel corridor incorporating high-quality PMJM habitat <br />. will be constructed along the western edge of Monument Lake (see Table 1.. <br />in the Biologieal Opinion), A fence will be constructed along the <br />corridor (with signs that identify it as a sensitive wildlife area) to <br />deter pedestrians using the adjacent trail from damaging the habitat; <br />this fence will remain in perpetuity. The'FWS will be notifies of any <br />habitat degradation due to human impacts. To facilitate potential movement of PMJM along the Monument <br />Creek waterway during the 2002 growing season, the applicant will plant <br />the outermOst 2S feet of the southern staging area (area 4b as <br />demarcated in the BA) with a shrub-grass seed mix by May 15. 2002.
