<br />The cest previded by the Centracter in Change Order Ne, 3 fer the censtructien .of the
<br />meuse habitat indicated a cest .of $4,01 per cubic yard te place 26,000 cubic yards fer a tetal cest .of
<br />$104,173, It was understeed that the Centracter's price per cubic yard was based en using en-site
<br />material, but net dredge material. If the Centracter weuld cheose te use dredge material te
<br />censtruct the meuse habitat area, the $104,173 weuld be credited back the Tewn .of Menument and
<br />the Centractor weuld be paid based en the unit price fer dredging, less a credit fer disposing the
<br />dredging material en-site, The Centracter elected te censtruct the habitat area with dredged
<br />material,

<br />Reduction in cost = $104,173 + $13,132,50 (credit) = ($117,305,50)
<br />
<br />Per the terms .of the Army Cerps .of Engineer's Individual 404 Permit and Bielegical
<br />Assessment the Tewn .of Menument was required te construct a pertien .of the new 25-feet wide
<br />meuse habitat cerrider just nerth .of the seuthern line .of Zone 4b, prier te May 15, 2002, Given
<br />time restrictiens impesed, the Tewn .of Menument elected to have the work perfermed by the
<br />Centracter te ensure that it was cempleted en time,
